Welcome to Mount Cross Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department

Mount Cross Fire and Rescue, designated Station 27, provides fire protection and emergency medical services to the Mt. Cross and southern Pittsylvania County community. We are commited to providing a variety of excellent services including fire supression, fire protection and prevention through public education, basic technical rescue, and are equipped for advanced life support. We strive for excellence through various in house training evolutions accompanied by achieving higher certifications through county training. We operate 2 fire apparatus complimented by 2 advanced life support ambulances. These apparatus serve a 30 square mile first due area while also serving a much larger second due area in the communities of Mount Hermon, Tunstall, and Bachelors Hall.
